WITNESSES OF JESUS
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
What are reasons that Jesus Christ tell Spirit-filled believers to witness to the world about the Lord ? God-inspired scriptures gives us answers (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
MANY PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW THAT JESUS IS THE WAY TO ETERNAL LIFE:
The biblical Word of God says all soul are made by the Lord; but many people may perish for lack of knowledge about the Lord. (Ezekiel 18:4; Hosea 4:6).
Acts 17:22-31 tells us about some people who do not know the true God and Savior. But Romans 10:14 asks how shall they believe in the Lord unless someone who knows Jesus tell them about him?
SOME PEOPLE ARE MISINFORMED OR MISLED ABOUT JESUS.
Before Paul became an apostle of Jesus Christ., he ignorantly persecuted believers in Jesus. But after receiving knowledge of Jesus as “Lord,” Paul became a preach of the gospel to many Jews and non-Jews (Acts 9:1-22).
However, being full of the Holy Spirit, the apostle Paul advises believers and would-be- believes to avoid false teachers who appear like “an angels of light” as does Satan (2 Corinthians 11:13-15).
One of my nieces was taught that Jesus is not the only way to God the Father, but that there are many ways. This is contrary to holy scriptures.
WITNESS WHAT THE SCRIPTURES SAYS ABOUT JESUS
Jesus said: “Search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me” (John 5:39). “These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (john 20:31)
“The words I [Jesus] have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life” (John 6:63). And “the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.( John 14:24; John 16:8-9.
In summary, Jesus said: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
