GOD STILL LOVES YOU
The biblical Word of God tells you God still love you if you are the worst of sinners. And God assures you he still loves you if you are the weakest of his followers. The Bible also tells believers God “will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).
IF YOU FEEL TOO SINFUL…
The biblical Word of God tells us, “every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven.,,” {Matthew 12:31). And to strengthen our faith in his love and forgiveness, it tells us about a person who was “the worst” of sinners, whom the Lord God forgave.
The apostle Paul felt he was the worst of all sinners because he had persecuted and killed people who believed in Jesus Christ, God’s Messianic Savior. The apostle Paul said: “ Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. 14The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. 16But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life” (1 Timothy 1:13-17).
IF YOU FEELTOO WEAK…
You might be encouraged by Bible examples of people whom God helped to overcome their weaknesses, by believing in Jesus Christ and being filled with he power of the Holy Spirit:
- Paul learned that despite his shortcomings and weaknesses, God’s grace was sufficient to enable him to say “I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me” (2 Corinthians 12:9; Philippians 4:13). Paul came to the point of boasting in the enabling power of the Lord (2 Corinthians 11:21-31).
- The apostle Peter learned like Paul, that without the Lord you can do nothing; but with him you can do all things. Peter once boasted that he would never leave nor forsake the Lord. But the apostle discovered he was too weak to do what he wanted to do. When he was faced with possibly dying with the Lord, Peter denied he knew the Lord three times (Luke 22:54-62). However, the Lord forgave Peter, filled him with the power of the Holy Spirit, and used Peter to boldly proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who were largely responsible for crucifying the Lord. (John 21:15-17; Acts 2).
YOU SHOULD BELIEVE THE BIBLE…
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”
The Lord God “is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrew 13:8).
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1John 1:9).
The Lord wants you to tell others whom God love that they may also be saved from sin (Mark 16:15-16
For whoever believes in Jesus Christ the Son of God as the Bible says, the Lord said: “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. 30I and the Father are one” (John 10:28-30).
And “I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am” (John 14:3).
