LIFTING JESUS UP
Jesus Christ said, in the Bible, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself” (John 12:32).
LIFTING JESUS WITH THE SCRIPTURES
ISIAH 7:14. “The Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).” Matthew 1:18-25 tell this Scripture was fulfilled when a virgin named Mary conceive a Son by the power of the Holy Spirit; and the Son was called Immanuel and “Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins” (v.21).
DEUTERONOMY 15:18. Moses, in the Old Testament, said, “The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers—it is to him you shall listen.” When the prophets Moses and Elijah miraculous appeared with Jesus, God the Father said in a voice from heaven concerning Jesus, “This is my Son, my Chosen One; listen to him!” Jesus said: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
PHILIPPIANS 2:6-11. “Though [Jesus] was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,[a] 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant,[b] being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
JOHN 20:30-31. John was one of the disciples of Jesus who were eyewitnesses of the miraculous things Jesus did that were written in the New Testament—But John said: “Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are written that you may believe[a] that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”
LIFTING JESUS UP BY YOUR LIFE
When you believe in Jesus as the Scriptures say, you will be filled with the Holy Spirit, who helps you to live a Christ-like life (John 3:16; 14:15-17). The Holy Spirit will enable you to produce Christ-like fruit of the Spirit, while helping you to overcome the sins of the flesh (Galatians 19-25).
When you let your light of the life of Christ shine before others, you will be lifting the Lord up for them to see him (Matthew 5:16). And the Spirit may use the gospel-light of Christ (Romans 3:23; 6:23) to convict people of their sins and save their eternal souls (John 16:8).
“if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you” (Romans 8:11).
