GOD’S BLOOD AND SPIRIT REACHING ALL NATIONS
The Bible tells us that the Lord God, who is a Spirit, made mankind in his image; and that he made all people of one blood (Genesis 1:26; Acts 17:26). But Satan, the devil, has endeavored to deceive people about their relationship to the Lord. However, God has determined to uphold His relationship with his people (Romans 8:38-39).
GOD CAME TO FELLOWSHIP WITH PEOPLE HE MADE.
The Lord God came to the Garden of Eden he made, in the cool of the day, to fellowship with Adam and Eve, the first people He created (Genesis 3:8). Through them, God made all other people with whom he would fellowship. However, in knowing all things, God knew that Satan would attempt to hinder people in their relationship with God. But God had prepared to uphold his relationship with His People. The Lord had planned to come in the form of flesh and blood to overcome the devil—to sustain God’s communion with his people (Genesis 3; Revelation 12:9; Philippians 2:6-12).
SATAN TRIED TO HINDER GOD’S FELLOWSHIP WITH PEOPLE.
Satan, the enemy of God and mankind, said in his heart: “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God...I will make myself like the Most High” (Isaiah 14:13-14). But by the almighty power of God Satan “was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him” (Revelation 12:9).
Being thrown down to earth, Satan used his power of deception to tempt and deceive Adam and Eve, and they disobeyed God (Genesis 3; Revelation 12:9). Thus, the devil gained entry to the hearts and minds of people on earth (Romans 5:12). The descendants of Adam and Eve began to think and act like the devil. He influenced Cain, the first son of Adam and Eve, to killed his brother Abel, stemming from Cain’s evil and unbrotherly thinking. (Genesis 4:8).
As time passed, “The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time” (Genesis 6:5). The Lord said those who have evil hearts “are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him” (John 8:44). God decided to destroy the evil people of the world; but chose to save a man name Noah and his family, because he had a heart to obey God (Genesis 6).
GOD CONTINUED HIS FELLOWSHIP WITH PEOPLE WHO OBEYED HIS SPIRIT AND TRUSTED IN THE SAVING BLOOD OF HIS SON.
Jesus told a woman who was not a Jew: “the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:23-24; Acts 2:17). And Jesus tells us, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
God has let it be known: “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 2:28). For there is one God, who is a Spirit, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave his blood as a ransom for all people who believe.(1Timothy 2:5-6: John 3:16). “For as by one man’s [Adam] disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one [Jesus] shall many be made righteous” (Romans 5:19).
“Those God foreknew [would believe] he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters” (Romans 8:29; 1 John 3:1). “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17). And “we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:10).
According to the Son, the greatest works you can do are to obey God’s commandments, which he summarized in this way: “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10:27). Having accepted the Son who died for you, and being filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, the Savior said you should “love one another: just as I have loved you” (John 13:34). “For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen” (1 John 4:20).
God loves you–he gave his Son to shed His blood on a cross, as God’s way of saving you and all who believe from perishing for their sins. And God sent the Holy Spirit to provides you and everybody who believes with power to love and become like God’s Son Jesus Christ.
