THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST IN YOU
The Bibles says: “You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)” (Romans 8:9). But if anyone desires the Spirit of Christ, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38).
THE HOLY SPIRIT GLORIFIES AND TESTIFIES OF JESUS CHRIST
Jesus said the Holy Spirit will glorify the Lord and tell you whatever he said (John 16:14). Jesus told a religious leader, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit; and believe in the Son of God as their Savior (John 3:5; 16). The Lord told believers, the words I speak are “Spirit and life;” and people should live by every word of God (John 6:63; Matthew 4:4). He told his disciples: “you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Filled with the Spirit, the disciple went out and preached the gospel of Jesus Christ “everywhere” (Mark 16:20). The apostle Paul resolved to preach nothing except Jesus Christ and him crucified (1 Corinthians 2:2).
The Lord tells Spirit-filled believers today, as he told his early disciple: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:15-16). However, it is not God’s desire that any should perish, but that all should believe in the gospel of salvation of his Son Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:9).
THE HOLY SPIRIT PRODUCES CHRIST-LIKE FRUIT

Jesus tells believers with his Spirit to produce fruit in keeping with repentance. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23). Love is at the top of the list of fruit of the Spirit. Jesus said by Christ-like love shall people know you are my disciples (John 13:35; 1John 4:20).
In 1 Corinthians, chapter 13, the Bible tells us in that of the many gifts of the Spirit–tongues, prophecy, faith, generosity, self-sacrifice, etc.–”the greatest of these is love” (v. 13).
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
Love is the everlasting gift that we take to heaven.
The Bible says “God is Love.” The Lord Jesus Christ said the two greatest commandments of God is about love. And for those who truly desire to obey the Lord, the Holy Spirit enables us to love the Lord God with all our heart, and to love others as Christ has loved us (Matthew 22:37; John 13:34).
