CHRISTMAS LASTING PEACE FROM GOD

Christmas is a time of merriment for some; but is a time of loneliness for others. However, Jesus Christ, the Heavenly Son of God, the Prince of Peace, gives believers everlasting peace–His peace is not as the world gives (John 14:27).

God reveals: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end” (Isaiah 9:6-7; Matthew 1:21-23).

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5; John 1:29).

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16)—And that all believers “might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).
