GOD STILL DELIVERS FROM TROUBLES
The biblical Word of God says, “Many may be the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19). The Bible reports that the Lord God delivered many people from their troubles whom he deemed righteous. God treats the righteous the same today as he did yesterday (Hebrews 13:8).
GOD DELIVERED HIS PEOPLE IN THE PAST
ISRAEL. God delivered the people of Israel from oppression in Egypt. He opened the Red Sea for them to pass through when fleeing their oppressors. He led them through the wilderness and subdued many enemies. And he took them to a promised land that God blessed for them.
DISCIPLES. The Lord Saved his disciples from a furious storm at sea. For fear of the storm, they awaken the Lord who was on the boat with the. Jesu got up and rebuked the wind and the waves. Then the wind and the waves became calm ( 4:35-41).
PETER. Peter was put in prison for proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ; but he was released by an angel of the Lord when saints of the Lord prayed for him (12:1- 11). God gave him strength to go through his fiery trials victoriously (1Peter 4:12-13).
PAUL. In the process of proclaiming the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ, Paul experience many troubles; but the Lord delivered from his problems: He was imprisoned; but freed. He was beaten nearly to death; but lived. He was shipwrecked; but rescued . And he suffered many other things for the Lord, but thanked the Lord for being with him through it all. (1 Corinthians 11:23-31). And he said the Lord has a crown of righteousness waiting for him, and for all others who long for his appearing. (2 Timothy 4:8).
GOD DELIVERS HIS PEOPLE TODAY
Today, God deems righteous whoever repents and believes in his Son Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. Righteous people today may be troubled by many things—involving body, mind, family, friends, finance and many other things. However, the Lord God Almighty, who cannot lie, assures his people in the words of the Bible that he will deliver them from all their afflictions (Revelation 4:8; Hebrews 6:18):
- “Many may be the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19).
- In all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28).
- God is able to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy (Jude 1:24).
