JESUS IS THE ANSWER
The Lord Jesus Christ said that in the days before he returns people will faint from fear and anxiety of what is coming upon the earth (Luke 21:26). But the Lord God assures those who trust him that their “help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:2; John 1:1-3, 14). And he tells us, “Turn to me and be saved all the ends of the earth” (Isaiah 45:22).
WORLD PROBLEMS
When we look at many of the terrible things that are happening in the world, it is evident that we are living in the last days. Nevertheless, the biblical Word of God informs us we can look to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for answers to all our troubles.
The Bible makes us aware that everyone in the world has sinned and come short of glorifying God (Romans 3:23). It tells us the wages of sins is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23). For so loved the world he sent his only begotten Son into the world die as an atonement for the sins of whoever repents and believes in his death as atonement for their sins (John 3:16; Act 2:38).
While in the world to die to save and redeem us to God, Jesus of spoke of other problems we would face. He said, “nation will rise against nation… and there shall be famines and pestilences, and earthquakes in various places” (Matthew 24:7).
People of the world have seen these things happening. We have witnessed world wars involving nuclear weapons capable of destroying much of the world population. We have experienced pandemics that caused sickness and death of countless people. And we are living amid the ongoing problems that the Lord told us about.
In all these things, the Lord ensures people who believe he is the answer, “neither death nor life… nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39).
Furthermore he tells us today, there is no authority except that establish my God. And recognizing God power, we should pray that we are able to live peaceful and godly lives. (Romans 13:1; 1 Timothy 2:2).
NATION PROBLEMS
Our nation is torn by strife. There a wide political divide. There is much inequity and social upheaval.
However, the Bible tells us there is no authority except that establish my God; and we should pray that we are able to live peaceful and godly lives. (Romans 13:1; 1 Timothy 2:2).
Jesus said we should love one another as he has loved us (John 13:34). He gave us an example of loving your neighbor when he spoke of a good Samaritan: A man had been robbed and left to die. Two religious leaders saw him and pass by him on the other side. When a Samaritan who cared saw the injured man, he stopped and helped the man take care of his problems. Jesus said, do like the good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37).
Furthermore, the Lord said: “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
PERSONAL PROBLEMS
Personally, we face sickness, death of loved one, financial difficulties and many other problems. Many of our problems may be from external sources; but some troubles may be the results of our bad decisions. However, the Lord is willing and able to help us,
GOD WANTS US TO KNOW
- Our help comes from Jesus Christ, our maker, Lord and Savior (John 1:1-3, 14).
- Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7).
- He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3 :20
- For with our Lord God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).
- God only ask that you seek first the kingdom of God by repenting and believing in Jesus his only begotten Son (John 3:16); and he will take care of all your needs according to his power and riches in glory (Matthew 6:33; Philippians 4:19).
