THE TRUE MANIFESTATION OF GOD
The Biblical Word of God says: “Without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory” (1 Timothy 3:16). But many other books do not agree with the Bible that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God–the true manifestation of God. Nevertheless, all Scripture of the Bible is “inspired” by “the only true God” (2 Timothy 3:16; John 17:3). And all Scripture is given by God “ in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ” (Colossians 2:2; John 35:9)
BEWARE OF BOOKS THAT DO NOT AGREE WITH THE BIBLE
Many books other than the Bible say, “God is in everything“ and “We are God.” For example, in the introduction to “The Four Agreements,” by Don Miguel Ruiz, the author wrote about what he discovered in a “dream” about God being manifested in everything. He said this was what he discovered: “Everything in existence is a manifestation of the one living being we call God. Everything is God…I am God. But you are God also…We are God.” In disagreement with what the Bible says, many people are said to believe and follow such teachings as an understanding of God and guide for life. This book alone is said to have sold several million copies and has been translated into 46 languages worldwide.
Agreeing with a book or believing a dream that tells you everything (including you) is God, is actually contrary to teachings of the biblical Word of God. Although some may think it is desirable to “be like God,” as Adam and Eve wanted to be; this may eventually result in their eyes being opened to their being unlike and separated from God (Genesis 3:). They may choose not to believe as the Bible says that people are conceived “in sin” (Psalm 51:5). And in opposition to God’s biblical Word, they may feel they do not need to repent of their sins and accept the righteousness of God’s only begotten Son Jesus Christ to be saved from their sins (Romans 6:23).
THE BIBLE MANIFESTS THE TRUTH ABOUT GOD’S RELATIONSHIP TO US
“God is righteous in all his ways” (Psalms 145:7)—Other than God, “None is righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10).
“In Him there is no sin” (1 John 3:5)—But, “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
All have sinned, and the wages of sin and death and separation from God (Romans 6:23; John 3:17-18). However, God does not want anyone to perish, “but everyone to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John3:16).
God made his Son Jesus Christ “who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). Whoever repents of their sins and believes In Jesus Christ as the atonement for their sins is born again of the Holy Spirit, who lives in them (John 3:5-6; Acts 2:38).
THE BIBLE REVEALS JESUS AS THE COMPLETE AND TRUE MANIFESTATION OF GOD
The Bibles states: “In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven” (Hebrews 1:1-3).
The Word of God declares: “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:10-11).
Jesus appeared in a transfiguration with two of God’s great Old Testament prophets, Moses and Elijah; then the disciples of Jesus wanted to do something to honor and recognize the three of them; but a voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him” (Luke 9:35).
Jesus, “who is himself God” (John 1:18), said: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
