WE ARE MADE BY AND FOR GOD
The Bibles says all things, including mankind, were made by and for the Lord God (Colossians 1:16). God created mankind to fellowship with him. But mankind’s relationship with God was broken when they were tempted by a Satanic serpent and disobeyed God (Genesis 3). They were separated from God and died, spiritually and physically ( Ephesians 2:1; Hebrews 9:27). Nevertheless, God had a plan, which he gradually revealed, to restore mankind to their relationship with God (Gen. 3:15; Matthews 1:21; Revelation 12:9; 13:8).
SEPARATED FROM BUT RESTORED TO GOD
The scriptures of the Bible are a comprehensive revelation of God’s plan of redemption for mankind after their separation from the God (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Isaiah 59:2; Romans 6:23). God so loved the people of the world that he gave his only begotten Son Jesus Christ, who was sinless, to die as an atonement for mankind’s sins (Isaiah 53:5; John 3:16; Colossians 2:13-15). And whoever repents and believes in Jesus is born again of the Holy Spirit and made “alive with Christ,” as children of God (John 3:3-18; Acts 2:38; Colossians 2:13).
REMADE TO LIVE WITH GOD FOREVER
After Jesus Christ was crucified for our sin and rose from the dead, he said he was going away to prepare a place for those who love and obey him (John 14:3, 15). We are told when he returns for those of us who are his followers, we will be given new body to glorify him, and fellowship with him and each other (2 Corinthians 5:1). In the final book of the Bible Jesus says, “Behold, I am making all things new” (Revelation 21:5). We will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air to live with the God forever (1 Thessalonians 4:17).
