KEEP YOUR FOCUS ON JESUS CHRIST
The Word of God reveals that Jesus Christ is our creator, savior, sustainer and judge. We should keep our focus on him. However, many do not recognize or focus on Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior because of the sinful attractions of this world (1 John 2:16). But those of us who are followers of Jesus Christ should focus primarily on glorifying him, and not on things of this world and self-elevation (John 3:16; Colossians 3:2).
FOCUS ON JESUS CHRIST AS CREATOR
Through Jesus Christ, God made all things (John 1:1-3; Hebrews 1:2: Genesis 1). “For by him all things created, that are in heaven and earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by and for him” (Colossians 1:16).
FOCUS ON JESUS AS SAVIOR AND LORD
The biblical Word of God says, all have sinned an come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). And the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23). For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, who was equal with God the Father, that whoever repent and believe in Jesus Christ should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16; Philippians 2:6-8; Acts 2:38).
FOCUS ON JESUS AS SUSTAINER OF All THINGS
The Lord Jesus Christ, who created all things, and purged our sins by his atoning blood on the cross, upholds and sustains all things by the word of his power (Hebrews 1:3). Without him we can do nothing–For we live, move and have our being by his power (John 5:51; Acts 17:38).
FOCUS ON JESUS AS JUDGE OF ALL THINGS
God the Father has committed all judgment unto Jesus Christ, the resurrected and ascended Son of God (Matthew 28: 18; John 5:22). At the time of God’s Judgment, our Lord and Savior will separate his followers from those who chose not to come after him (Matthew 25:31-46). At that time every knee shall bow, of those in heaven and earth, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father (Romans 14:11; Philippians 2:10-11). However, our Lord and Savior shall reward those of us who kept our focus on glorifying and following him in this life, by giving us eternal life and causing us to reign with him (John 10:28; Timothy 2:12; Isaiah 9:7; Luke 1:33).
